Cannoli from Caffé Palermo—also known as Cannoli King—at the Feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy.
What we liked: This was a great cannoli. The shell had a solid crunch and a hint of cinnamon and spice. The filling was thick and sweet, had a few chocolate chips floating throughout, and paired perfectly with the shell. The whole thing was finished off with a healthy dusting of powdered sugar. This is a good one to convince a cannoli skeptic what all the fuss is about.
What could be better: Not much, but being picky, the cannoli was a tad small and could have been filled more in the center. Also, the cream was maybe a bit sweeter than some people would like? I liked it though.
