We went on a cannoli tour in Boston’s North End, starting with Modern Pastry!
What we liked: I knew this cannoli would score high the moment I bit into it. Good crunchy shell, fresh sturdy cream, ample chocolate chips, great balance. The shell was the best we had in Boston. Overall excellent cannoli.
What could be better: This cannoli was a bit small and under-filled compared to its neighborhood rival, Mike’s. It also lacked cinnamon in the cream, which seemed to be a theme amongst Boston pastry shops.
