Surprisingly good cannoli from Parisi Bakery in Astoria, Queens.
What we liked: This cannoli was piped fresh to order and looked beautiful. There was almost too much cream, which is exactly how I like my cannolis. The shell had a strong cinnamon flavor and was super crunchy. Overall a very authentic and surprisingly good cannoli. I'd also like to add that the bakery staff were amongst the nicest I've encountered.
What could be better: The cream was good, but a little gritty, and there was so much of it that I felt like the cannoli was a little off balance (I know, I know, this contradicts my earlier statement about liking a lot of cream). The cream could have benefitted from more chocolate chips to balance out the texture.
